About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

  • Support the child in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment where the child feels comfortable and empowered to participate.
  • Work with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies to support the child's specific needs.
  • Monitor the child's progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff.

About You:

  • You will have experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • You will be knowledgeable about strategies to support children with Autism in an educational setting.
  • You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and adults.
  • You will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with special needs.
  • You will hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or special educational needs.
