{"Service Overview": "At WhereToTalk, we are committed to empowering individuals to break the cycles of crime and addiction. Our Recovery Counsellors play a vital role in delivering psychosocial interventions within an integrated healthcare framework.

As a Recovery Counsellor, you will be part of a dynamic team working in close partnership with healthcare services to deliver services across various functions, including Early Days in Custody, unscheduled care, planned care, release, and resettlement.

Our service takes a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approach to delivering holistic health and wellbeing interventions and various treatment programs for individuals experiencing drugs and/or alcohol misuse issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide counselling assessments and treatment of clients referred into the Footsteps and/or Bridge programs.
* Formulate and implement cohesive counselling treatment and/or management plans for clients' mental health and wellbeing needs.
* Evaluate treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models.
* Provide counselling advice and consultation to clients when required.

Service Delivery:

* Receive regular counselling and management supervision from Team Leaders and external supervisors.
* Plan and facilitate counselling sessions as part of the Wellbeing and Recovery range of interventions.
* Manage a caseload to whom one-to-one counselling is provided.
* Engage in a collaborative manner to build resilience and hope focusing on recovery.
* Maintain up to date, accurate official counselling records.

Departmental Management:

* Participate and contribute to raising mental health and wellbeing awareness.

Quality and Safety:

* Facilitate individual counselling and group work interventions (if required).
