About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our team, providing an efficient and effective telephone counselling service to individuals in need. As a Counsellor, you will work with a variety of presenting issues, including those who are distressed and/or at risk, providing 'In the moment support' and achieving a one call resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide telephone counselling services to callers, demonstrating an ability to work with a range of individuals and presenting issues.
  2. Work with a Solution Focused approach, adopting a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  3. Meet targets and deadlines, working efficiently and effectively to provide high-quality support to callers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum diploma level 4 in Counselling and a minimum of 150 counselling hours.
  2. 12 months post-qualification experience.
  3. Registration with the BACP or equivalent (or COP booked).
  4. Relevant telephone experience.
  5. High-level computer literacy, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  6. Excellent organisational ability, with a strong focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
  7. Good communication and customer service skills.
