About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Navigo Health and Social Care CIC. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our service users with all aspects of their care, including activities and personal care.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Deliver care within the environment, assisting in the development of all aspects of care for older people with mental health problems.
  2. Participate in the delivery of individualised planned programmes of care.
  3. Assist with daily living tasks, such as dressing, washing, and toileting, and provide emotional support to our service users.
  4. Observe patients' general condition and report any changes to the appropriate health professional.
  5. Work flexibly, participating in a 24-hour rota, and be aware of their responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and DoLs.
  • Basic written communication skills to enable completion of records.
  • NVQ level II or a willingness to undertake this or a certificate in Mental Health.
