Job Title: Care Assistant

At St Philips Care Group, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Care Assistant who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to individuals in need. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily care needs, promoting their independence, and providing holistic care activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and provide the requirements for residents' health and well-being, with insight into the effects on the client and family when continued care is needed.
  • Assist residents in any area of their daily care needs, which they would normally undertake themselves if they were able to do so.
  • Participate in holistic caring activities, such as promoting residents' independence and dignity.
  • Care for all residents' needs as required, with the aim of optimising their independence.
  • Read and act on the Care Plans of each resident to promote continuity of care.
  • Understand the right of the individual to confidentiality.
  • Moving and handling, dressing, and assisting residents in their daily hygiene and dressing needs.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in residents' condition.
  • Report to Senior staff any hazard or unsafe equipment that may be injurious to the health and safety of staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Attend any in-service training arranged as part of staff development and mandatory training, which is a legal requirement.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience of care work in a Hospital, Care or Nursing Home.
  • A Passion for Care of the Elderly.
  • NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care.
