Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring and supportive individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This role involves working with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing specialist support to the teacher in an aspect of the curriculum or age range, for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom to deliver high-quality education to pupils with SEN
  • Providing specialist support to pupils with SEN, including devising and implementing structured learning activities
  • Working with teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of learning activities and measure pupils' progress
  • Collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEN

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Knowledge and procedures for supporting and leading learning activities in SEN
  • Successful relevant experience of working with children with SEN
  • Ability to devise and implement structured learning activities, under the direction of the teacher
