Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to lead the design and development of our industrial products. This role involves creating new product designs, re-designing existing products, and ensuring that designs are cost-effective and meet commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Develop new product designs and re-design existing products, including detailed layouts, assemblies, and parts drawings.
  2. Testing and Quality Assurance: Define and manage product testing procedures, work with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure adherence to quality standards and ISO guidelines.
  3. Production Coordination: Oversee the product from initial design through to production, coordinating activities and managing new product introductions.
  4. Research and Evaluation: Assess existing products for potential redesign based on feedback from customers, vendors, or internal teams.
  5. Documentation and Communication: Prepare clear and detailed technical reports and documentation, and communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar). A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in engineering industrial products.
  3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with various departments and customers.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk, AutoCAD & Inventor.
  5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks.
