Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Opus Talent Solutions. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in coordinating our budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing and reporting on monthly financial performance, and providing insightful financial information to support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Design and coordinate the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, consolidating data from various business divisions, geographies, and corporate functions.
- Analyze and interrogate monthly results, challenging management on their numbers and ensuring overall targets set by the board are met.
- Prepare business unit and overall company budget packs, ensuring business units have full visibility over their numbers and accompanying commentary.
- Analyze monthly financial performance, producing a bridge and appropriate narrative to explain any variances.
- Consolidate and verify business unit commentary from management, ensuring the narrative reconciles to the numbers.
- Undertake monthly analysis on operating costs, including a reconciliation of headcount to staff costs and detailed analysis of variable spend.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of key financial KPIs is maintained within financial systems and reconciles to claims management operating systems.
- Financial Analysis

- Prepare periodic management information for the board, divisional MDs, and investors, including insightful commentary.
- General
- Assist the CFO and Director of Group Finance with ad hoc projects as necessary.
- Educated to degree level, a qualified accountant with a strong commercial and analytical mindset.
- A solid understanding of people services businesses and the key drivers of financial performance.
