Director of Development and Strategy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development and Strategy to join our team at the Centre for British Photography. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing our mission and vision, working closely with our Founding Director and Trustees to evolve and execute our overall business and strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to support our strategic vision and financial sustainability
  • Manage all aspects of fundraising, including individual giving, corporate sponsorship, government grants, trusts, and foundation giving
  • Research, identify, and cultivate fundraising opportunities, and proactively seek, engage, and manage contacts
  • Attend conferences, community meetings, funding fairs, and networking events, and be a part of the cultural life of the organisation

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' senior level experience in a similar role with the arts, culture, and heritage sector or a comparable field
  • A willingness to utilise your professional networks and proactively grow our existing donors and prospects
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, highly motivated, able to prioritise effectively, and work under pressure to meet deadlines and financial targets
