About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Receptionist to join our team at The Bodmin Jail Hotel & Attraction. As the first point of contact for our valued guests, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to guests, addressing their inquiries and requests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Work closely with the reservations, housekeeping, and F&B teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of guest reservations, cancellations, and preferences, while assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge of room types, hotel facilities, and local attractions, including the Bodmin Jail Attraction.
  • Efficiently handle guest check-in and check-out procedures, including the issuance of room keys, payment processing, and providing necessary information.
  • Confirm room availability and provide accurate information on rates, packages, and special promotions.
  • Assist guests with special requests, room preferences, and any concerns they may have, working closely with the reservations team to resolve booking-related issues or discrepancies professionally and courteously.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk, or customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with a hotel reservation system and booking software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
