Foster Care Support Specialist

At Olive Branch Fostering, we are seeking a skilled Foster Care Support Specialist to join our team in Cambridge. This exciting opportunity involves providing exceptional support to foster households and children/young people in placement. As a key member of our Placement Team, you will work closely with Supervising Social Workers and Area Managers to enhance placement stability and build positive relationships with the children/young people and fostering households.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to children/young people, offer necessary respite for carers, and contribute to planning activity days for foster carer families and children/young people. This role requires willingness to travel and use of a car as you will be required to visit placements across Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk areas.
We are looking for an individual with experience within child care, specifically children with additional needs, including ASD, GDD, nonverbal, and those who find it difficult to regulate their emotions. The ideal candidate should also have a good understanding of challenging behaviours and trauma, as well as an understanding of the needs of looked after children.
What We're Looking For- A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

This role comes with a competitive salary of £24,000 (pro-rata), plus a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, birthday leave, good health days, and more.
