Social Work Opportunity in Cambridgeshire

We are seeking an experienced and skilled social worker to join our Fostering Team as a Senior Social Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and families, providing specialist support and guidance to foster carers.

The role involves:

  • Providing professional leadership and specialist social work practice skills to make informed decisions and support complex situations.
  • Representing Cambridgeshire County Council at a community level, developing effective multi-agency plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Maintaining and updating knowledge of social policy and practice, staying informed of organisational policies and procedures.

This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary range of £38,258 - £40,958 per annum, depending on experience.

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised professional Social Work qualification (Degree/Masters/Post Graduate Diploma/Social Work fast track qualifying programme).
  • Relevant specialist post-qualifying and/or post-graduate training.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • A car driver's license and ability to travel countywide.
