As a Residential Childcare Support Professional, you will be responsible for promoting the welfare and well-being of the young people in your care. This includes providing emotional and social support, encouraging positive relationships, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the care team to promote the welfare and well-being of young people
- Provide emotional and social support to help young people develop meaningful relationships
- Encourage independence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and empowerment
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation and domestic duties
- Record and report on progress, incidents, and concerns, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Relevant qualification in residential childcare or a willingness to undertake one
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential setting
- Ability to engage and empower young people, promoting positive relationships and outcomes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- A competitive salary of £27,431.04 rising to £28,326.48 per annum, based on successful completion of probation
