We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Support Team Specialist to join our Improving Attendance Team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting schools and children in need of mental health support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist school leaders in developing and maintaining a positive attendance culture
- Identify early signs of attendance issues and provide support to pupils and their parents
- Oversee bespoke interventions to address environmental barriers affecting attendance
- Provide clinical and case management supervision to team members
- Liaise with and provide consultancy and support to other agencies, including education providers
- Extensive experience of working with children and young people offering assessment and support for mental health difficulties
- Relevant qualification in nursing, social care, psychology or equivalent
- Completion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Supervision training or Accredited CBT Supervision qualification
