A rare opportunity exists within Liquid Personnel to recruit an experienced Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join our esteemed clients, Barnsley Children and Family Social Care Service. This pivotal role offers a chance for a forward-thinking and dedicated professional to contribute to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.

As part of our client's commitment to developing children's services, they are dedicated to supporting their workforce and ensuring staff have the necessary tools and training to excel in their roles. This includes an opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner who will play a key role in promoting best social work practice, working closely with the Practice Development Manager and Principal Social Worker.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, driving, and delivering the practice model, continuous professional development, and training offer for children's social workers and practitioners. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and assessing student social workers on placement in Barnsley
  • Providing supervision, support, and guidance to Newly Qualified social workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in practice
  • Developing and delivering training aligned to the Barnsley Stronger Together practice model, to support learning and drive best practice across Children's Social Care
  • Working closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure that learning from audit is embedded in training and development
  • Collaborating with partners to drive multi-agency working and good practice across services
  • Ensuring that staff and teams have the necessary resources and tools to support their professional development
  • Offering mentoring and support to colleagues

This role requires a recognised Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and significant post-qualification experience, including supervision and mentoring.
