Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead the setup and delivery of our new manufacturing facility in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing best practice manufacturing operations and processes to drive world-class manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive operating strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Lead the development and delivery of manufacturing processes and systems to achieve high-quality production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance and efficiency
- Deploy resources and detailed planning to ensure successful project delivery
- Set policy and ensure delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization
Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing and production environments
- Experience in high-rate production environments
- Prior experience in setting up new manufacturing facilities/production lines, lean manufacturing, Black Belt, Industry 4.0
About the Role: As Head of Operations, you will be part of our Weapon Systems UK team, which designs, builds, and supports artillery systems and naval guns used across the world. Our new manufacturing facility in Sheffield will produce complex systems, including the M777 Howitzer, to meet growing demand. You will have the opportunity to use your best practice manufacturing knowledge to set up this brand-new facility and drive production capacity.
