Job Title: Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineering

TXM Recruit is supporting a leading production business in Northampton, seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement production processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Lead productivity improvements through project-based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design.
  • Generate production documentation, including PFMEA, CP, and process instructions.
  • Ensure product and process quality meets specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of manufacturing processes, including aluminium brazing techniques and materials.
  • Present data effectively to stakeholders.
  • Apply project management skills to drive results.
Requirements:
  • Relevant manufacturing or engineering degree.
  • Experience in aluminium brazing techniques (CAB and Vacuum) and materials.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to present data effectively.
  • Metallurgy or metallurgical experience.
  • Proven project management skills.
Education:
  • A Levels, ONC, City & Guilds level 3, BTEC National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma, or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
Desirable Skills:
  • FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving) process improvement, and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques.
  • Understanding of design and production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework.
