Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Mechanical Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the Manufacturing Plant runs with unwavering safety, peak reliability, and optimal cost-efficiency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning and delivering the maintenance strategy for our chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
  • Provide technical leadership for mechanical issues on plant, supporting the maintenance team with equipment maintenance or breakdowns.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, root cause analysis, defect elimination, and reduce plant downtime.
  • Manage outages and turnarounds, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Assess asset condition and identify capital investment requirements to ensure continued safe operation.
  • Represent the asset engineering function in capital projects.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, analyzing spend and implementing cost improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Extensive experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas, Production related industries.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, vessels, piping.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry legislation and standards.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing certification.
