Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asset Mechanical Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our chemical manufacturing plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the maintenance strategy, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and managing the maintenance budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure peak reliability and optimal cost-efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability, root cause analysis, and defect elimination.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, analyze spend, and implement cost improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance team for equipment maintenance or breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the capital project team to ensure successful execution of asset-related projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Extensive experience in chemical, oil & gas, and production-related industries.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, vessels, and piping.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry legislation and standards.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing certification.
