Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at CV Technical. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is running safely and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance our operations.
  • Conduct daily checks of workload and ensure tasks are completed as required.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant.
  • Work with a range of equipment, including saws, edge banders, and gearboxes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ LV3 Mechanical discipline.
  • Completed a four-year recognized apprenticeship.
  • Competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, vibration analysis, and alignment.
  • Fault finding and fabrication skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience within sawmills/wood products.
  • Welding skills.
