Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Talent Finder Jobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality precision parts and components.

About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer will be working on various projects, including design, development, and production of complex mechanical systems. They will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to gather project requirements
  • Develop and implement designs using AutoCAD or other CAD software
  • Collaborate with workshop chargehands and engineers to schedule jobs
  • Cost materials and labor accurately
  • Produce drawings and specifications as required
  • Order materials and tooling
  • Liaise with subcontractors as necessary
  • Update customers on progress and ensure timely delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering machining and fabrication processes
  • Familiarity with standard office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Able to demonstrate success in managing customers and contracts/projects
  • Clean or near clean driving license
