We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our mental health team at Austin Fraser. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients to develop and improve their communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia, as well as working with families. You will also possess specialist knowledge in the areas of mental health care services and be able to demonstrate specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generating appropriate strategies for caseload management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group therapeutic sessions to help patients develop and improve their speech and communication.
- Build one-to-one rapport with service users to encourage engagement and empower recovery.
- Manage a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration.
- Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia.
- Experience of working with families.
- Evidence of continuing Professional Development.
