About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Trainee Assistant Practitioner to join our Community Eating Disorder Service team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Trainee Assistant Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with eating disorders, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver initial psychoeducation interventions to individuals new to the service, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and recognize your own competence and limitations.
  • Establish and maintain clear, professional relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with other professionals in statutory and non-statutory organizations.
  • Provide high-quality written and verbal communication, adhering to Trust documentation standards.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize your workload under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
  • Deliver evidence-based advice, guidance, and consultancy to patients, families, and professionals within standard protocols.
