Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Thameside. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or experienced Psychologist familiar with working with adult mental health presentations, including neurodiversity and complex trauma.

The successful candidate will be part of the full-staffed Integrated Mental Health Team and will be an integral part of the clinical leadership team, supporting the development of the psychological therapies service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) in the form of training
  • Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
  • Deliver psychological interventions to cases of complexity
  • Deliver and oversee 1:1 and group interventions as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
  • Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
  • Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation, and research profile as appropriate
