About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Team Leader to join our team at Arla Foods. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Continuous Improvement (LCO) team, driving operational excellence and ensuring our Taw Valley Creamery is running to a best-in-class standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Continuous Improvement team, setting day-to-day objectives and delivering operational plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams on site and globally to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate management, maintenance, and development of operating systems to enable responsive, data-driven management of the operation.
  • Resource and roster all aspects of the operation to deliver output and quality objectives and provide legal compliance.
  • Contribute to an effective LCO way of working and maintain a highly motivated team with a developing skillset for continuous improvement.
  • Manage own time and prioritize activities in conjunction with business plans, setting standards personally and monitoring team performance.
  • Communicate with global specialist networks to seek best practice and communicate with relevant third parties and suppliers to ensure awareness of latest technologies and best practice.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of leading either Total Performance Management, IL6S, IWS, or similar.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under own initiative in a high-speed environment.
  • Significant experience in leading and developing a team.
  • Previous experience of implementing digital tools would be preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of BRC and Mark & Spencer's standards (desired).
  • Knowledge of quality standards and effect of incident on quality.
  • Effective team worker, influencer, and communicator.
