About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Team Leader to join our team at Arla Foods. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Continuous Improvement (LCO) team, driving operational excellence and ensuring our Taw Valley Creamery is running to a best-in-class standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Continuous Improvement team, setting day-to-day objectives and delivering operational plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams on site and globally to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate management, maintenance, and development of operating systems to enable responsive, data-driven management of the operation.
  • Resource and roster all aspects of the operation to deliver output and quality objectives and provide legal compliance.
  • Contribute to an effective LCO way of working and maintain a highly motivated team with a developing skillset for continuous improvement.
  • Manage own time and prioritize activities in conjunction with business plans, setting standards personally and monitoring team performance.
  • Communicate with global specialist networks to seek best practice and communicate with relevant third parties and suppliers to ensure awareness of latest technologies and best practice.
About You

We are looking for a strategic and strong leader with people management experience within a fast-paced manufacturing company. You will have a wealth of experience in operational and strategic leadership, with a strong understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles, culture change, and stakeholder engagement.

You will be degree-qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have experience of leading either Total Performance Management, IL6S, IWS, or similar. You will also have effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under your own initiative in a high-speed environment.
