Advanced Specialist Pharmacist – Aseptic Services Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Services team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical services, quality management, clinical nutrition, and radiopharmacy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development of our aseptic services. The post holder will work closely with the Accountable Pharmacist for the Aseptic unit, the Quality Assurance Team, and other staff members within the service.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters related to aseptic services
- Work as an independent prescriber to optimize medicine regimes for patients
- Contribute to the operational management and strategic development of aseptic pharmaceutical services, including radiopharmacy and clinical nutrition
- Deputize for the Pharmacy Team Lead – Aseptic Services and Clinical Nutrition as needed

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Honours Degree in Pharmacy / MPharm
- Registration with the GPhC as a pharmacist
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
- Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Registered as a non-medical prescriber
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology & Quality Assurance or equivalent knowledge & expertise in the field
- Experience of working within aseptic services and/or preparation of radiopharmaceuticals
- Relevant post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy
