Pharmacist Specialist in Aseptic Services

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Services team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist – Aseptic Services, you will play a key role in providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters related to aseptic services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and develop aseptic services within the trust, ensuring compliance with national guidance and regulatory requirements.
- Work as an independent prescriber to optimize medicine regimes for patients, collaborating with the Team Leader – Aseptic Services & Clinical Nutrition.
- Contribute to the operational management and strategic development of aseptic pharmaceutical services, including radiopharmacy and clinical nutrition.
- Deputize for the Pharmacy Team Lead – Aseptic Services and Clinical Nutrition as needed.

- Registration with the GPhC as a pharmacist.
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent.
- Registered as a non-medical prescriber.
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology & Quality Assurance or equivalent knowledge & expertise in the field.
- Experience in writing policies and guidelines, project management, and report writing.
- Management of staff and training of foundation year trainee pharmacists and clinical rotational staff.
