New Product Introduction Technical Support Engineer Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive New Product Introduction Technical Support Engineer to join our committed and professional NPI team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of New Product Introduction, developing and operating a formal NPI process, and providing technical support in the development of custom product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a formal NPI process and recording system
  • Provide technical support in the development of custom product solutions
  • Lead the technical development of new products, ensuring smooth and timely transfer to manufacturing
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance for Electrical applications and formulate technical aspects of BOMs
  • Liaise with Customers, suppliers, and other internal departments as required
  • Assist with authoring product specifications and instructions, as well as after-sales support services
  • Manage the preparation of technical reports and represent the Technical team at Customer Meetings
  • Operate as an integral part of the team, gaining approvals and certification of new products
  • Guide and ensure compliance with relevant Electrical legislation and advise on the integration of legislation within the company BMS
  • Develop and undertake product tests and records as required

Requirements

To be considered for this challenging and varied opportunity, you will be self-motivated and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, with exceptional communication skills at all levels. You will ideally have led or been part of an NPI team for products that have successfully been integrated into production or entered into the market place, with a solid understanding of current legislation and its effects on NPI.
