Job Summary

The Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients in Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients with complex speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in speech and language therapy

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with complex needs
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies related to older adults and frailty
  • Ability to use standardized assessments and outcome measures

Language Requirement

The ability to speak English is essential for this role.
