About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Therapy Support Coach to join our Student Inclusion and Support team at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support interventions to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Student Health Practitioner and external professionals to develop and implement support plans for students with complex needs.
  • Conduct initial assessments and gather information to inform support plans, working closely with students, parents, and external agencies.
  • Deliver targeted support interventions, including speech, language, communication, sensory, mobility, and medical needs, to students on your caseload.
  • Work closely with the wider inclusion team and teaching staff to ensure seamless support delivery and effective communication.
  • Support teaching staff and colleagues to implement strategies and advice from professionals, promoting a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths qualifications.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with additional support needs, preferably in a post-16 education setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of post-16 education and SEND services, with a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
