About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated clinical/counselling psychologist or psychotherapist to join our Older People's Psychology (OPP) service. As part of the Dorset Older People's Psychology Service, you will work with other friendly and dedicated psychologists/therapists to provide specialist psychological services for older people under the care of OP-CMHTs in Dorset.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological services for older people, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of older adults.
  • Conduct assessments and provide therapy to individuals, groups, and families to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of psychological services.
