About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to service users in our Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs). You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to increase psychological thinking, provide formulations, and offer consultation to support colleagues in understanding and managing older adults with mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions to service users in CMHTs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to increase psychological thinking and provide formulations.
  • Offer consultation to support colleagues in understanding and managing older adults with mental health problems.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior clinicians and trainees, contributing to their professional development and enhancing the treatment they offer.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC.
  • Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology.
  • Experience of clinical supervision for trainee and assistant clinical psychologists.
