Job Title: HR Officer

Are you a skilled HR professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Officer to join our team at MCS Group.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide support to our business partners and managers in the implementation of HR strategies and policies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR, with a degree in a relevant subject and membership of the CIPD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and guidance to business partners and managers on HR strategy and policy, procedure, workforce planning, and recruitment and employment law.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects, including workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Work closely with managers to resolve HR-related issues and provide coaching and development support.
  • Conduct HR metrics analysis and provide recommendations to improve HR processes and procedures.
  • Participate in informal and formal meetings with trade unions and other stakeholders to discuss HR-related matters.
  • Lead on formal disciplinary and grievance procedures, including appeals and tribunal cases.
Requirements
  • Degree in HR, business, or a related subject.
  • Membership of the CIPD or actively working towards CIPD membership.
  • 2 years' relevant experience in HR, including recruitment and selection, ER, L&D, and equal opportunities.
  • Desirable: relevant training qualification and experience operating a HR information system.
