Job Title: HR Officer/Senior Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer/Senior Officer to join our team at MCS Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance on HR strategy and policy, procedure, workforce planning, and recruitment and employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR business partnering to service areas on HR strategy and policy, procedure, workforce planning, and recruitment and employment law.
  • Undertake projects in line with the HR work plan.
  • Deliver a proactive HR service by meeting with managers, providing timely HR intelligence, and helping resolve issues quickly.
  • Provide support, coaching, and development to managers in service areas and in the HR Team.
  • Work with HR systems to proactively analyze HR metrics.
  • Participate in informal and formal meetings with trade unions relative to casework, policy developments, and new initiatives in line with HR strategy.
  • Lead and advise managers on innovative attraction methods, recruitment, performance management, and reward issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in HR, business, or other relevant subject (or 4 years' experience as per the below).
  • Membership of CIPD (or actively working towards CIPD membership).
  • 2 years relevant experience in at least 3 of the below: Recruitment and selection, ER, L&D, Equal opportunities, Managing attendance.
  • Desirable: Relevant training qualification, Experience operating a HR information system, Experience delivering successful OD change projects.
