As a Highway Drainage Specialist (Contract), you will be part of a two-man team investigating, unblocking, and cleaning highways drainage/gullies across the county. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining traffic management systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of road users and construction workers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the construction, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Performing manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials.
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
We are looking for a candidate with a positive can-do attitude, excellent communication, timekeeping skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Various shift patterns are available, including nights for rail or road works that require closures, some 10-hour shifts, and overtime available.
