About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Lead to join our team at OrganOx. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless warehousing and global distribution of our innovative medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to a small team of Stores and Logistics Specialists.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and maintain world-class stores processes at the OrganOx facility, ensuring a high level of warehouse stock accuracy and efficient customer service.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure that customer orders are processed and shipments booked in accordance with the acknowledged delivery dates, coordinating with customers to communicate order status and delivery expectations.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with the OrganOx USA team to determine stock and spare parts requirements and manage shipments between the two entities.
  • Inventory Control: Manage all customer and supplier collections, ensuring shipments and deliveries are actioned accordingly, and maintain inventory accuracy in third-party inventory storage locations.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Develop import and export document templates and procedures to ensure compliance, maintaining harmonized international commodity codes and UK customs procedure codes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement, and seek opportunities to reduce costs, enhance delivery performance, and improve the overall customer experience.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven logistics and/or stores leadership experience.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Excellent understanding of supply chain best practice.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in using an ERP system such as SAP.
  • Project Management: Able to project manage tasks/continuous improvement projects to completion.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to communicate/coordinate with third-party logistics partners outside core working hours when required to maintain business performance.
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel to UK and European logistics partners for relationship management and inventory management, with an average of 3 days per month.
