About the Role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths Specialist Teacher to work in a small foundation special school in Oxford. This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to lead engaging Maths lessons for students with various SEN profiles.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that cater to individual learning needs.
  • Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting approaches to meet each learner's needs.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in line with the school's ethos.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN.
  • A strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Passion for Maths and the ability to make the subject accessible and engaging for all learners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching.
