SEN Maths Teacher Vacancy

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join our team of permanent staff in a small foundation special school in Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will lead engaging and differentiated Maths lessons, catering to students with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, accessible Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students with diverse abilities and SEN profiles.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting approaches to meet each learner's needs.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in line with the school's ethos.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN.
  • A strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Passion for Maths and the ability to make the subject accessible and engaging for all learners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching.
