About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Department at a well-established FMCG | Food Manufacturing business based in the Newport area.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing unit by performing proactive and reactive maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily plant inspections and monitor plant performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate speedy responses to plant stoppages and implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
  • Carry out fault-finding diagnosis and repairs on equipment and plant.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to achieve budgeted machine performance targets.
Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with:

  • Time served as an apprentice in an engineering discipline.
  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Multi Skilled Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualification or higher.
  • Previous experience working within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
