Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Wright Staff. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to equipment and processes to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt production schedules.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on maintenance-related issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as C&G craft qualification or ONC mechanical/electric qualifications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and cover overtime when required.
