At 279 University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Teamwork: Support senior staff in planning and organizing physiotherapy team activities and programmes, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Education and Development: Teach, supervise, and appraise recently qualified physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, and undergraduate students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Professional Practice: Adhere to departmental protocols, Trust policies, and professional codes of conduct, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and develop equality and diversity practices, ensuring equity of access to care for patients and job opportunities for staff.

Key skills and qualifications include:
- Assessing capacity to give consent and working within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity.
- Motivating and empathizing with patients to maximize rehabilitation potential.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Representing the physiotherapy department positively within the trust and external agencies.
- Reporting complaints, incidents, and accidents to physiotherapy management.
