About the Role:
The Health and Safety Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients' buildings and occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fire safety strategies for various building types and sectors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety Order.
- Conduct thorough fire risk assessments and provide guidance on control measures.
- Support internal design teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Address fire safety challenges and issues across a range of buildings and sectors.
- Maintain effective communication with clients' teams to coordinate inspection programs and remedial works.
- Prepare specifications, obtain estimates, and monitor on-site progress while ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Offer expert advice on Building Regulations Approval for fire-related matters.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in fire safety or fire risk engineering.
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers and professional registration with the Engineering Council.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current fire safety legislation, including the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
- A deep understanding of current fire safety issues, trends, and best practices.
