About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Academic Research Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of digital pathology and translational research.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate all activities required for effective access to clinical images, biomaterials, and metadata for individual projects initiated by RMH or ICR scientists.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations, Research Governance Framework for Health and Social Care, Human Tissue Act, and Research and Development Policies and SOPs.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other members of the Centre of Molecular Pathology, the BRC, and other Trust staff to ensure seamless integration of projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Life sciences degree or equivalent.
  • Skills: Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Work package and internet skills, and competence in research-oriented PC software (databases, Excel, SPSS).
  • Experience: Experience in translational/clinical project coordination or working in a clinical research environment, with a detailed understanding of clinical studies and regulatory frameworks.
