About the Role

This key support position for newly qualified nurses, midwives, and clinical professionals in their early stages of career requires imparting knowledge, skills, and experience through coaching and mentoring.

Confidence in building relationships and collaboration with others is essential. Coaching and mentoring are provided, with training available for the right candidate.

The role involves working in various specialisms or environments across the health and social care spectrum using a coaching model.

  • Ensuring up-to-date clinical knowledge that aligns with current practice standards and promotes professional practice based on relevant research.
  • Supporting practice education development programs for supervisors, assessors, and preceptors face-to-face or virtually.
  • Providing clinical learning opportunities for preceptees and students in practice.
  • Participating in education and leadership programs as necessary.
  • Contributing to the clinical supervision/coaching agenda, including strategy implementation, training, and evaluation.
  • Supporting the preceptorship program and education meetings when required.
  • Offering specialist training, advice, and support on your role/responsibilities as needed.
  • Assisting in the training and induction of new staff.

  2. Degree-educated
  3. Postgraduate diploma or equivalent
  4. Mentorship qualification or equivalent

  1. Understanding of evaluating health service performance
  2. Coaching experience and/or mental health first aid training
  3. Skills in nurturing relationships and maintaining networks
