Job Overview
The Specialist Medicine Directorate at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic and innovative team that comprises of Dermatology, Clinical Immunology, Sexual Health, Clinical Genetics, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases and Diabetes and Endocrine.
In conjunction with the Directorate General Manager (DGM), Clinical Director and Matrons, the Deputy Directorate General Managers will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational service objectives and standards.
Each Deputy DGM is responsible for working with the DGM to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Clinical Directorate and delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within the Clinical Directorate and line managing appropriate staff within designated clinical units.
The post holders are key members of the Clinical Directorate leadership team, and will develop and implement Directorate plans to secure the agreed objectives for the Clinical Directorate and make a positive contribution to delivery of health care across the local health community.
