About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, low-intensity CBT services to patients with common mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols and develop programmes of care packages.
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centred interviews to identify areas for change and recovery, and make accurate assessments of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to departmental protocols, and refer unsuitable clients to relevant services or back to referral agents as necessary.
  • Provide information and support for evidence-based high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments, including guided self-help computerised CBT and pharmacological treatments.
  • Engage with family members and others in treatment as necessary.
  • Ensure maintenance of standards of practice according to employer and regulatory requirements, and stay up-to-date on new recommendations and guidelines.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Low Intensity CBT.
  • Experience working in primary care/IAPT services.
  • Knowledge of low-intensity working models.
  • Experience working in mental health services.
