Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). We are looking for a full-time Clinical Lead for Psychological Services who will spearhead service development and implement the i-thrive framework in collaboration with key stakeholders across health, social care, and education sectors. This role involves clinical oversight of the CAMHS portfolio, including the Primary Mental Health Team.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical management capabilities and possess a comprehensive skill set in clinical interventions. You will provide both direct and indirect supervision, enhancing patient experiences. Additionally, you will lead various service development and Quality Improvement initiatives, requiring knowledge of change methodologies and quality improvement principles. Recently, CAMHS has completed a quality improvement project in partnership with national collaborators.

Working with NELFT

All new team members will participate in a comprehensive induction program, which includes mandatory training and familiarization with our systems and equipment. This program is designed to integrate new staff into our Trust effectively.

Probationary Period

This position is subject to a probationary period, with internal applicants exempt unless currently undergoing a probationary review.

High Cost Area Supplement

This role includes a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £4,108 and a maximum of £5,177 per annum, pro rata.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a qualified psychological practitioner (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist, cognitive behavioral therapist) with full registration from the relevant professional or regulatory body.

You will need to possess strategic insight and excellent communication skills to cultivate effective partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and healthcare organizations. Extensive clinical and operational leadership experience in CAMHS is essential to support the teams effectively. You will oversee the clinical supervision structure for qualified staff and demonstrate a commitment to collaborative working with other health and social care professionals.
