About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs, providing one-on-one and group support to help them manage their behaviour, develop and implement behaviour management strategies, and work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
  • Provide targeted support to students with behavioural difficulties.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Record and report on students' progress and behaviour.
  • Work with external professionals, such as counsellors and social workers, to provide holistic support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Mentor or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management are desirable.
