As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' social and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of behaviour support plans (BSPs) developed by teachers and SENCO, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in managing challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to understand and manage their emotions and behaviours in various settings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting and reinforcing positive behaviour and social skills among students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to develop and review behaviour intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor student behaviour and progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges in an educational or similar setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience to effectively support students in managing their behaviour and emotions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents/guardians.

Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day
